Tracey's journey of rebuilding self confidence & sense of achievement

I came away from that day feeling a little more confident than I had in a long time, realising I can overcome challenges and to keep a healthy and positive frame of mind.  I have started going out and planning ahead for walks with friends etc.
I owe a lot to your amazing team and looking forward to my next walk in September.
I first heard about your amazing charity on the Chris Evans breakfast show, having been through quite a rough 18 months in my personal life due to a relationship breakdown and a family bereavement. I was feeling extremely low with no self confidence, experiencing days where I could barely function or leave the house and decided this was something I thought may help me through; as I always loved being in the outdoors around nature and not putting any pressure on myself to open up to strangers.
I knew the walk was marked as challenging with a climb and not having kept my fitness up was a little hesitant at first.  I arrived to meet the group and the wellness team, everyone was so welcoming and friendly.  As we started to climb I was falling behind but a member of your team stayed with me all the way, I was last to finish the climb but everyone was so encouraging.  I really felt an enormous sense of achievement.  I walked and talked with other members of the team and started to realise I was not the only one experiencing life's challenges.
