Our funded bursaries

Please take a moment to read through our criteria for funding, then simply apply using the form below, or email us with any questions.

Our events are open to UK residents aged 18+ who can complete two days of hill-walking with a daypack up to 8 miles.

Full bursary funding

Our full bursary reduces a retreat with us to £50 to help you join us & get the support you need.

To qualify for a full bursary you must be currently receiving income support, such as Universal Credit, ESA, SSP, Carer’s Allowance or Jobseekers Allowance and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Are coping with long-term mental illness
  • Experienced a recent bereavement
  • Witnessed or experiencing domestic violence
  • Witnessed or experiencing drug or alcohol abuse
  • In a long-term care role for another

50% Bursary funding

Our 50% bursaries are there to reduce financial barriers to attending our retreats for you.

You can apply for 50% of booking to be funded by us if you meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Are coping with long-term mental illness
  • Experienced a recent bereavement
  • Witnessed or experiencing domestic violence
  • Witnessed or experiencing drug or alcohol abuse
  • In a long-term care role for another
  • Frontline NHS or emergency service workers (Blue Light card or NHS Badge)

Our bursary places are limited per event. We don’t receive any government funding. We regret we cannot assist every applicant and aim to reach those in the greatest need.

We do our best to respond to you within 48 hours of your application during the working week. A little longer if you apply at the weekend. But do email us if you have concerns in the meantime, we are here to help.

So that we can support as many people as possible we can only offer on bursary per person per year.
