Become an 'Everesting' fundraiser
for mental health
Mental ill health can often feel like a mountain to climb. Our 'Everesting' challenges started on Mental Health Day and we are hoping you will sign up to climb the equivalent height of Mount Everest (29,035ft/8,850m) – whether individually, as a team or a relay! You can 'Everest' for us at any time of the year to help us support more people in need.
Achieve something amazing, boost your wellbeing & raise vital funds for our charity to help others overcome mental health challenges.
Our young founder, Alex Staniforth, knows first-hand the power of resilience and the therapeutic benefits of the great outdoors. He has twice attempted to climb Everest, enduring avalanches and earthquakes, and now uses his experiences to inspire others to overcome their own ‘Everest’ in life – which can often be much closer to home.
Alex is leading the way with the greatest fundraising challenge our mental health charity has undertaken - at a time when the need for support could not be greater. Project 500 is our mission to raise £500,000 in 2025. The year Alex reaches 30 - & signifying the urgent need for mental wellbeing help, with suicide the greatest killer of under 35s in the UK today.
Choose a challenge to suit you. Ascend the equivalent height of Mount Everest (29,035ft/8,850m) however you like, as an individual or combining your efforts as a team or relay!
🏔 On a hill – walk up and down your local hill/mountain repeatedly to achieve the total height of 29,035ft. For example:
- Snowdon via the Llanberis Track: 10.5 ascents
- Pen-y-Fan in South Wales: 20 ascents
- Primrose Hill, London: 284 ascents
- Ben Nevis: 7 ascents
🏔 On a bike – 89 ascents of a 100m hill
🏔 At home or work – 2903 flights of stairs!
🏔 In the gym – on a StairClimber machine
🏔 A climbing wall - 442 ascents of a 20m wall
...or get creative – we’d love to hear your ideas!
What’s the time limit?
Choose a challenge to suit your fitness level and timings – you can complete the height gain within a month, one week, 48 hours, or even under 24 hours if you’re looking for an intense challenge!

- Provide support through counselling & coaching out in nature to those in need.
- Raise awareness about the importance of mental health & the healing power of nature.
Together, we can conquer the stigma surrounding mental health and provide essential support to those who need it most. Are you ready to take on Everest? Join us and make a difference for so many people in need of our support.
If you don’t have the time or means for a challenge, you can also donate to the campaign here. Every £ brings us closer to the target.
