Ultra Challenge Series 2027 - Ultra for Everyone

Thank you so much for joining us to fundraise for our work! We are here to support you and will send your fundraising pack once you are booked on. Exciting!

An Ultra Challenge? You? Yes, really.

You don’t have to be an ultra runner to take one on. Walk it, jog it or run it - at your pace.

With 24 challenges across the UK in 2027, and distances ranging from 10K right through to 100K, there are options for different ages, fitness levels and experience. Take part on your own, get a group of friends together or make it a team challenge.

From stunning coastlines to beautiful countryside, you could take on the Lake District, Peak District, North Yorks, Gower Peninsula, Jurassic Coast, Isle of Wight, Cotswold Way and many more. There are also three new challenges for 2027.

Your challenge. Your way.

Choose your location. Choose your distance. Then choose how you want to tackle it:

WALK: take your time, enjoy the scenery and experience the challenge at your own pace.

JOG: walk some, jog some and find the pace that works for you.

RUN: if running is your thing, take on the course and see what you can achieve.

Whichever you choose, Ultra Challenge events offer fully supported routes, rest stops with food and drink, medical support and a brilliant event atmosphere to help you all the way.

Take on an Ultra Challenge for Mind Over Mountains

Make your challenge mean even more by using it to raise funds for Mind Over Mountains.

Your fundraising will help us support more people with their mental health through professionally guided walks, retreats and time spent in nature.

When you register for your chosen Ultra Challenge, select Mind Over Mountains as the charity you'd like to support and set up your fundraising page through JustGiving. Ultra Challenge requires charity fundraising pages to be created through its correct event page so that fundraising can be tracked.

Frequently asked questions

Our fundraising challenge events do require higher levels of fitness than our normal walks and retreats, so we are always happy to chat about what's involved. Do just email us anytime!

We recommend our walkers wear walking boots with ankle support, walking shoes or off-road running trainers - the most important thing is having a more rugged sole/grip to prevent slips and potential injuries on rocky, muddy or uneven terrain. This doesn't have to be expensive or high-quality brands at all - Go Outdoors or Mountain Warehouse are generally very good value.

We do work with a fantastic organisation called KitSquad who can help with providing second-hand kit so please do feel free to contact them with what you need and hopefully they can help.

Dogs, other than registered assistance dogs, are not permitted on our events. Sorry! Please advise us in advance if you need to bring an assistance dog. Thank you.
