How to
Volunteer or Work with us
Volunteer with us - how it works

We are a small charity & always want to ensure we can provide meaningful volunteering experiences to our supporters. It means so much to hear from those who love what we do as much as we do & want to get involved.
With that in mind, it would be great if you could complete this Volunteer’s Survey, which gives you the chance to tell us what sort of things you’d like to do to support us. That will help us to match your skills to opportunities as they arise, & allow us to suggest specific volunteer roles you might like to apply for.
Please be patient with us - we are so grateful for all offers of support, but we are a small team so we don't always have opportunities available.
If you are a mountain leader, walk leader, counsellor or coach interested in being involved in our events, please scroll down to see details below.
Work with us - current vacancies
Do you believe in the power of nature to transform mental health? Want to be part of a growing, ambitious charity helping people find calm, clarity and connection outdoors?
🌿 Mind Over Mountains is looking for a highly organised and compassionate Events & Operations Administrator to support the smooth running of our transformational wellbeing events and retreats.
- A flexible, part-time permanent remote role (2 days (15 hours)/week) ideal for someone who thrives on making things happen behind the scenes, has an eye for detail, and wants their work to truly matter. UK based candidates please.
- Flexible hours: it is preferred that your days are reasonably consistent week on week. Ideally the successful candidate will be able to join our weekly core team meeting on a Wednesday morning, but we are happy to look at 2 full days, the two days split over 4 half days, or one full and two half days.
FAQs about this role:
- Does the role ever have a physical presence supporting the wellbeing walks or retreats / familiarisation during induction? Not on a regular basis, although we always recommend that our staff attend a walk or retreat during their first few months to get a good sense of what we do.
- Benefits / annual leave available? We have a NEST pension scheme & employees receive 25 days of annual leave (pro rated) plus 3 days of extra paid holiday which are normally taken during Christmas/New Year.
- Team culture - do the team come together at any point? We all work remotely, as our core team live across England and Wales. We do meet up in person occasionally - but for the rest of the time we have a strong & supportive team which works well via Microsoft Teams.
- Applications close Friday 22nd August 2025 - link below with full details (date job posted 04.08.25)
