Scott Harvey-Whittle

Database Manager

As the Database Manager at Mind Over Mountains, Scott is driven by a profound belief that technology should be a quiet but powerful force for good. He doesn’t just view his role as managing systems; he sees it as safeguarding the digital foundation that allows the charity to offer restorative, life-changing experiences to those who need them most. For Scott, every data point represents a person reaching out for support, and every streamlined process is an opportunity to extend the organization’s reach further into the community.

Scott is a firm believer that outdoor pursuits improve mental health and is an advocate for this in every aspect of his work. He understands that the structure he provides behind the scenes directly facilitates the moments of clarity and healing that participants find in nature. This commitment to the cause is mirrored in Scott’s personal academic journey. Currently balancing his professional responsibilities with a degree in Information Technology at The Open University, he is constantly translating classroom theory into real-world impact. Navigating the challenges of distance learning has instilled in him a unique blend of discipline and adaptability—qualities he brings to the Mind Over Mountains team every day.

Scott is passionate about using his evolving technical expertise to build a more resilient, data-driven future for the charity, ensuring that no one has to face their mental health journey alone. By combining his personal advocacy for the outdoors with a rigorous approach to IT, Scott is dedicated to ensuring that the technology supporting the mission is as robust and reliable as the advocacy he champions.
