Dean volunteers for Mind Over Mountains with the support of his employer - Venture Stream.

After leaving school at 18 I have been working in marketing; at first as an apprentice & then going on to specialise in paid search, & have been doing that ever since. I have been happy to use my experience to help promote Mind Over Mountains not just through Venture Stream but also because of a genuine belief in the idea that exercise, being in nature & talking openly about mental health is crucial to mental wellbeing. I apply this to my own life day to day by regularly exercising & maintaining a good diet, & when possible going on hikes along the Northumberland coast, which is my favourite place to be. I have a huge interest in all kinds of art especially films; but also music, & I like to regularly visit galleries when possible. I also enjoy cooking & gardening, both of which are a great way to focus on what you are doing at that moment & can have a very calming effect.
